He & She

we've made it to Friday again. ya know, I used to get really excited when Friday arrived, because the week seemed so long and it meant two days of not going to work, but now, I think, what??? Friday again?? where did the week go? now instead of it being woohoo the weekend, it's we are one week closer to another new year! it really is true, once you reach a certain age, the years seem so just fly by, and that is just one more reason to live while you can! enjoy while you are able, because the years, they be flying by in a hurry!

it's 4 days after labor day, and I'm wearing white jeans! ha, take that fashion police. I know that no white after labor day isn't so much a rule anymore, but growing up with a mother who was up on all the fashion and fashion rules, and did not wear white after labor day, it's hard to do. but, I did it today, and I'm am looking over my shoulder waiting for someone to point and gasp! "she has on white!!!" I have issues!

I love this layout below. it is a lift, and I've spent the last couple of hours trying to find where I lifted it from. not sure if it's right to post on your blog when you can't remember where you lifted it from, so forgive me if it's wrong. I'm almost positive that it was Jen Jockisch, but it might have been Jenni Hufford, except I can't find it anywhere. I'm still looking for it, because now it's driving me nuts, and hoping to find it so I can come back and include the link to it. I really did want to share it though, and hope no one is offended, because that is not my intentions.

Gossamer Blue January Kit

and, here are my 4 layouts with my January Gossamer Blue kit.  I'm telling you guys, I'm going to get a free album!  These layouts were a little more rushed than I would have liked them to be, and I'm not totally in love with them all, but, it's all good!  Most of last weekend was spent making baby shower invitations, and not working on my layouts, so I had to hurry hurry.

The exciting part about it, there are 4 pages to go in 4 different albums! That my friends is progress! 

I'm back to handwriting on most of my layouts.  There is nothing at all I like about my writing, because I can not seem to make myself slowdown enough to have it neat, but, it's me, it's always been this way, and one day I believe my family will look back, see that writing and smile.  I think this, because when I find things with my Grandmothers writing, it makes me smile.

AND, in case you missed this on my facebook!  The grandpups have been spending lots of time at our house over the last couple of months.  Seems someone got into my scrappy supplies, so we had to make a sign for her momma to see what happened.  She really is a sweet little doll!  And seriously, does she not look just a little remorseful!

Where'd November go??

SERIOUSLY???  Where did November go?  Actually, now that I think about it, where did October go?  I swear it was just the end of summer 2 days ago, and now we are what, 30 days from Christmas?  That's crazy!  I always heard as a youngster that time flies when you get older..... I thought all those people were nuts, come to find out, they might have known what they were talking about!

It's time to play catch up.  I've gotten numerous layouts completed over the last month, just been letting them stack up.  I need to get them posted so I can get them in albums.

The pictures in this layout are from when we first arrived at the airport in Vegas, ummmm, back in 2008!  I am making progress! ha

I tried a little something different with this layout.  I've been seeing lots of strips while surfing blogs, not sure anyone persons blog inspired this, but more like several.  Thought I'd give it a go, and think I might just like it enough to do it again.

The picture here is from our first meet up of the Memory Maker Forum peeps in Texas.  Of course we had to visit a LSS there, thank you Kathi!

Used a Studio Calico mask and Mr. Huey mist here.  Some wood veneers, washi tape and sequins. Lots of layers!

Hiya Peeps!

Here's another one for the Las Vegas, boy and girl marry, live happily ever after book!

The mojo is still flowing, and I'm buring through the ATG tape!  It helps that David is busy at night with his music.  I just go back to my room, turn the Ranger Baseball on, and get busy! :)  Ozzy & Kiara curl up in the floor for a nap.... and all is right in the world.

I'm trying to do a better job of keeping up with the supplies I use.

If you were wondering... summer is here.  Temps the last few days... 106.  Temps expected over the next week 110.  Just wanted to share!


I had so much fun with this layout... and it came together so quickly!  I've really been working on my letting go.... to let it flow.... and stop with my obsessing over actually using something!  I've caught myself a few times picking something up I like, then putting it back down because I like it too much.  My brain, it just doesn't work right sometimes.   I'm getting better though....  and my mojo seems to be in high gear.  It's not only flowing... it's gushing.... and I'm here to tell you, I am taking advantage of it!!
