I am seriously... I mean seriously trying to cut down on some of my stash, I've got way way way too much. I can honestly say that having this much stash has hindered my creativity. There's so much, that I don't know where to start or what to use. So, one of my self imposed challenges are to use older supplies for next 30 days to see how much I can use up! Which will mean that I may have no clue as to who some of the used product is by. I started this on Feb 18th.. so I've got until March 18th to put a huge dent in some of this stuff! Wish me luck!
Both layouts are for my moms album. Looking at these pictures tugged on my heart some. On the backs of the originals, my Grandmother (my Mama, pronounced Mamaw)had written who & where on them. Just seeing her so familiar handwriting took me back in time to sweet memories!
This layout was created using a few bits from my Little Black Dress January kit. I didn't use to much from it, only paper and the die cut. Background page is by My Minds Eye-Laundry Line collection. Love it!
Basic Grey- Curio collection small flowers.
Stampin Up- Journey stamp, punch, bigz flower die, & cardstock
Sizzix Round-A-Bout number dies
Tim Holtz tissue tape
Random material
Now this next layout... I used all kinds of scrap goodness on it!
You see my beloved Webster's Pages as the background paper.
Numbers-American Crafts
Embossed Sticker-Marcella by Kay
Gel Candy - KI Memories
Flowers - I have no idea
Buttons - No clue
Lace Doily - Not sure.. baking section at Hobby Lobby
Glimmer Mist
Now check this out. This accordion flower was actually a cupcake liner. I cut the bottom out and instant flower! Thanks so much to Melissa for sending me the how to on this baby! I'd share it... but can't find the link. I'll keep looking, but it's really pretty simple. You just cut a slit up one side, cut off the bottom round part, then start adhering the cupcake liner to a round piece of cardstock. Just play with it, after you've gotten it, I promise it'll bring a smile to your face. I also got some white ones...can you say Glimmer Mist?
Now let's look at the pink ribbon type element. That would be crepe paper...also known as streamers. It was white. $1.75 a roll. I glimmer misted it, let it dry, then sewed a strip of thread up the middle. I then pulled on one of the threads to gather the paper up and give it this ruffled ribbon look. It adds such great texture to the layout. Another kudos to Melissa for this trick too!
That's about all I have for today. I've got to bounce... it's all you can eat ribs tonight at the BBQ place.. and I think David is jonesing to go! I'm not a big rib eater **gasp** you say! How can you be a born and breed Texan and not eat ribs? It's ok... I'm not an all you eat kinda girl either!
Thanks for looking... and be sure to check back in a day or two. I've got a couple of layouts for someones Sr. Album to add! Say it ain't so!!
:) That's my smiley face.... HUGS to all!

I am SO proud of you for cutting the Webster's! Your LOs are gorgeous and I love the crepe paper.
Using Webster?? Way to go girl. You know, if you are using another piece of cardstock in the center of your LO you can cut out the extra of the background paper and use it again. KWIM? That way you have that little bit extra of that favorite paper to use again.
I hear you about stash keeping you from scrapping. It did me, too. I am so impressed with Noel Hyman of Papperclipping. She has such little in stash and creates the mos wonderful LO's. I think it is easier because she actually can see what she has!! LOL
Your LO's are out of sight, girl! You just keep outdoing yourself!!! Keep on the roll. I love seeing all your beautiful work1!! They are great!
Wow, Lisa! I love these layouts! Love how you layered your elements on both, and good for you for cutting into the Webster's! The crepe paper ruffle looks just beautiful, and your cupcake liner flower is, as well!
These are gorgeous! I have that same paper from my minds eye, and a few more. Love it. You go girl, get into that stash and be a scrapgirl gone wild!!!
Oh my gosh! What can I say? These are just wonderful. I love, love, love them! The placement, the colors, the use of non traditional materials, it's all fabulous. Bravo!!!
Simply beautiful, what a talented person you are!
